There are several shuttle services that run from Halifax to Sydney and the Maritime Bus stops outside Baddeck in Wagmatcook. From Sydney: Bay Luxury Shuttle will pick up in Sydney and drop off in Whycocomagh where we can pick up once notified.

1. How can I get to Baddeck from Halifax or Sydney?

We require a minimum of 4 guests to run the Cabot Trail Discovery Tour and the Good Cheer Discovery Tour. When you book one of these tours you will receive a tour reservation by email. Once the minimum has been reached, you will receive a confirmation by email and a request for payment will be made. No funds are collected until the minimum has been reached and your tour is confirmed. We reserve the right to cancel any tour for which the minimum has not been reached.

3. Do you offer pickups?

Pickups may be arranged within a short distance of the departure point. Please email to see if we can accommodate a pickup at your location.

4. Where is the departure/return point?

Our tours leave from three locations: Baddeck - Visitor Information Centre Parking lot, Inverness - Mill Road Social Enterprises (MRSE), 20 Mill Road, Inverness, Nova Scotia (very close to Cabot Links Resort), and Sydney, from the Joan Harris Cruise Pavilion.

5. Is there a bathroom on board?

No. We recommend using facilities at venues where available. Distances between venues may be long so we advise letting your guide know so they may make an additional stop if necessary. 

6. What happens if I am late or miss the tour?

Our cancellation policy applies if you are late or miss the tour. See question 8 below. 

7. What should I bring?

Space is limited in the van so we ask that you limit luggage to a small bag or backpack. Weather is frequently unpredictable in Cape Breton and can change quickly. We advise that you prepare for all weather possibilities and wear comfortable shoes and clothing.

8. What is the cancellation policy?

If notice of cancellation is received more than 48 hours in advance of the scheduled start time, there shall be a full refund.

If notice of cancellation is received between 24 and 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time, there shall be a refund of 50%.

If notice of cancellation is received less than 24 hours in advance of the scheduled start time, there shall be no refund.
